HELP GUIDE

Run your event survey

Everything an event host needs to set up TaplyCue, collect answers, and take the data away.

01

Start collecting

  1. Open TaplyCue. The active question appears immediately.
  2. Ask each visitor to tap an answer or type a response.
  3. TaplyCue saves the response locally, shows a thank-you message, and resets.
  4. If several questions are configured, use the numbered controls at the top to switch between them.
02

Set up questions

  1. Open Settings, then Configure.
  2. Edit the question text and answer-button labels.
  3. Enable typed answers if visitors should be able to write a response.
  4. Add, reorder, or remove answer buttons. You can add up to ten questions.
  5. Enable auto-advance to move to the next question after the thank-you screen. After the last question, the sequence returns to the first.
  6. Select Save question.
03

Change the appearance

Open Appearance to choose the background, general text, question, and answer-button colours. You can change the font, button shape, and text and button sizes. Use the preview to check the combination, then save it. Reset restores the original TaplyCue look.

Animated effects can be turned off. TaplyCue also disables them automatically on constrained devices or when reduced motion, battery saving, or heat conditions require it.

04

Protect settings

A fresh installation has no admin PIN. Open Security, enter the same four-digit PIN twice, and choose Set PIN. You can change or remove the PIN from the same screen.

Keep the PIN somewhere safe. There is no remote recovery. Clearing app data or reinstalling also removes any responses that have not been exported.
05

Manage responses

Open Responses to review locally saved answers. Delete a single response with its delete control. To delete all responses, open Export, choose Delete all data, and confirm.

06

View and export reports

Reports show totals and charts for saved responses. Filter by date range and question. Export a PDF, Excel workbook, or image from the device share sheet. CSV export provides the complete raw response data.

07

Transfer reports with TaplyShare

TaplyShare transfers CSV, PDF, Excel, and PNG reports directly between nearby Android and iOS devices running TaplyCue. It does not require internet access; Bluetooth and local-network permissions must be enabled.

  1. On the receiving device, open Reports and choose Receive TaplyShare.
  2. On the sending device, choose TaplyShare beside the report format.
  3. Select the receiving device and confirm the same verification code appears on both devices.
  4. Keep both apps open until the transfer finishes.
08

Export data

  1. Open Export and check the row count and preview.
  2. Select Export CSV.
  3. Choose a destination from the system share sheet.

The CSV includes the response ID, timestamp, question, response type, and answer. Exporting does not delete the on-device copy.
