Your captures
The app runs locally on your Mac. Screenshots are copied to the macOS clipboard. A five-second silent video is kept in temporary local storage so its .mov file can be placed on the clipboard. SnapCopy never uploads your captures.
Remembered capture area
SnapCopy saves the position and size of your last captured area in local preferences on your Mac so it can restore the selection next time. Choose SnapCopy > Reset Capture Area or press Command-R to clear this preference.
Data and tracking
SnapCopy has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking or network features. It never records audio.
Screen access
macOS requires Screen Recording permission before an app can read pixels from the screen. SnapCopy uses this permission only to capture the area you select.
